Every hosting company is the same you may think. Not true. We are passionate about the sites we host and do everything to ensure they are always available and always fast. If you're not happy we'll give you your money back!

Every ISP claims to offer good hosting at knock-down prices. If you want to pay £19 per year for hosting, you're going to get what you pay for. We offer high-quality hosting on a high-quality network. What's more, because we're not a huge company which hosts millions of sites, we take personal care of every single one. Support is just the other end of the telephone or email.

We have our own customised network too. Most ISP's stick your site on a server, running some commercial config program (this is usually the weak link!) and then backups (if you're lucky) to tape in case of a problem. When something goes wrong your site's down for ages whilst they find the tape and restore the computer. Even worse, the ISP may not be an ISP at all and may just be reselling someone else's space - perhaps even in a different country!

We operate something we call triple failover mirroring. Sounds technical but it's simply really:

Websites are hosted in our primary network
On good quality Linux or Mac server (we don't have Windows servers - they're rubbish).

Each server has power backup
In case there's a blackout or power problem in Telehouse - power will not be lost. Telehouse has 3 stages of power backup - it can run for weeks uninterrupted.

Each server mirrors it's hard drive
Everything is written to two drives. If one fails the other takes over seamlessly. We then just put a new drive in and it's got two mirrors again.

And the bit other ISP's don't do...
We mirror our entire services in a separate facility 300 miles away. If the computer itself fails, we have an exact real-time backup in Manchester which automatically takes over. If our entire London network disappeared you wouldn't notice - and neither would YOUR CUSTOMERS. Tape backups are old-school.

Cleverer still, we have a 3rd incremental backup to our Cornwall operation centre!
